of doing more with less. The goal is to accomplish the same tasks and functions as before while using less energy.   • Manufacturing can include implementing energy and water efficiency measurement systems and pollution prevention practices in various processes; using reusable and recyclable transport packaging.

Economic Sustainability is the term used to identify various strategies that make it possible to utilize available resources to best advantage. The idea is to promote usage of those resources that is both efficient and responsible, and likely to provide long-term benefits. It often seems as if advances in sustainability are so concentrated on the environmental issues that insufficient attention is directed to the importance of preserving economic viability.
